Specialized solutions for telangiectasias and phlebectasias with excellent aesthetic results
What is Aesthetic Vascular Surgery?
Aesthetic Vascular Surgery primarily concerns telangiectasias, phlebectasias and small varicose veins that do not cause symptoms, health risks or any other problem in the majority of patients.
"Broken" veins in the legs are called telangiectasias (spider veins) and are nothing more than dilated venules of the epidermis. They usually follow a spiral course and appear to start from one point and extend radially in all directions.
They may be independent (as most commonly occurs in the thigh area) but are often connected to the presence of deeper subcutaneous ectatic veins (phlebectasias) that are insufficient. They usually remain asymptomatic and only affect the appearance of your legs, especially in patients with thin and fair skin.

Treatment Methods
Modern and effective techniques for treating telangiectasias
Sclerotherapy
Injection of a specialized sclerosing substance at different concentrations through microscopic needles. Causes thrombosis and absorption/disappearance of telangiectasias within 20-30 days.
Laser
Alternative method using laser energy to treat telangiectasias with precision and effectiveness.
Radiofrequency
Modern technique utilizing radiofrequency for effective treatment of phlebectasias.
Electrolysis (Ohmic Lysis)
Specialized method using electrical energy for treating telangiectasias.
Important Information
As is obvious from the term used, Aesthetic Vascular Surgery is applied exclusively for aesthetic reasons, meaning there is no clinical problem, existing symptom or existing risk for the patient.
Consequently, there is no risk (danger) from which the patient is relieved by choosing to undergo the procedure, therefore there is no clinical benefit either.
Conversely, the very small risk of mild complications remains, as with any other procedure. This is important to be clear to the patient and they should be thoroughly informed by the treating Vascular Surgeon before deciding to proceed with the procedure.
